El-Ad Cohen CPT BPT PT, Founder + Lead Physical Therapist + Coach
El-Ad grew up in the martial arts and dance scenes out on the East Coast, training and competing in a variety of disciplines. Movement has always been a major part of his life. He also was exposed to mindfulness through one of his martial arts masters (a Zen monk). He has practiced mindfulness ever since and has had the fortune of being able to teach it to others.
Later, serving in the military, he pushed his body to the brink and was injured.
After a lengthy rehabilitation, he embraced training as a way to make his body more resilient, values sustainability of practice and understands the meaning of getting back to your life after a set back.
After his service, El-Ad studied Physical Therapy, earning his Bachelor's of Physical Therapy (BPT), completed his clinical training, including research comparing healthy volunteers and chronic pain patients, and government license exam in Israel during the spring of 2020 and has been helping patients ever since. He later came back to the United States and completed his transitional accreditation and is a Licensed Physical Therapist here in Colorado (PTL0019647).
Since 2019 he has been working as a Personal Trainer (certified through the American College of Sports Medicine).
During the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, El-Ad worked in coronavirus research in an effort to contribute to combating the disease and ran online training programs for people stuck at home.
His background has lead him to taking an approach to fitness and training that doesn't require gym access (although he does love gyms), as well as an evidence based approach to health coaching. He loves helping people develop their fitness, and build a healthier lifestyle and continues to practice mindfulness and teach meditation to individuals and groups.
